The Sumerians were very advanced mathmaticians. They developed a number system based on the number 60. The 360 degree circle, the 12 inch foot and the "dozen" are examples of Sumerian math still used in our lives today.
The Assyrians were very fierce warriors, who used chariots, and soliders on horse back. They enslaved the people they conquered and killied the captured enemy soliders. Sometimes they even deported whole populations to different regions. By these ways they added land and slaves to their empire.
The Persians had a prophet named Zoroaster who had the major philosophy called Zoroastrianism this was a religion based on good and evil. It is the struggle between if good or evil will prevail in this world. If good is to prevail, as the philosophy has it the earth will disappear.
